This page reproduces the finalized notice. It sets out your rights and how 237 Sports operates as an independent fan platform.
This Privacy Notice explains how 237 Sports ("237 Sports," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use our website at 237sports.com, our mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Notice. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google in accordance with your Google account settings.
- Profile and preferences. We collect the preferences you set within the Services, including the sports, leagues, teams, and players you choose to follow, your selected fan type, and any custom description you provide about yourself as a fan.
- Content you submit. Any text or other content you voluntarily submit through the Services, such as prompts or descriptions used to personalize your experience.
- Communications. If you contact us directly, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage data. We use Google Analytics to collect information about how you interact with the Services, such as pages viewed, features used, time spent, and general engagement patterns.
- Device and log information. We may collect your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand usage of the Services. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some functionality. See Section 7 for more detail.
Information from third parties
- Google Sign-In. If you authenticate through Google, we receive basic profile information as described above.
- Payment processors. If and when we offer paid features, payments will be handled by third-party payment processors. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers; we may receive confirmation of payment and limited transaction details.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, biometric, or precise geolocation data).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- Personalize your experience, including tailoring content, stories, and features to the teams and players you follow and the fan preferences you set;
- Analyze usage of the Services to understand what is working and develop new features;
- Communicate with you about the Services, including service announcements and responses to your inquiries;
- Process transactions for any paid features you purchase;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security issues, and technical problems; and
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, analytics (Google Analytics), authentication (Google), and payment processing. These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information.
- With your consent. We may share information for other purposes with your consent.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may retain certain information after account deletion where required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or financial recordkeeping), after which it is deleted or anonymized.

5. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate information;
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal information;
- Portability — request your information in a portable format;
- Objection / restriction — object to or request restriction of certain processing;
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction; and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may designate an authorized agent to make requests on your behalf.
Users in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Services you sign up for), legitimate interests (improving and securing the Services, analytics), consent (where required, such as certain cookies), and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International transfers. Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., which may have data protection laws different from those in your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
6. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under the applicable minimum age, we will delete it promptly. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Services. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about your use of the site, which is transmitted to and stored by Google. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Notice on this page with a revised "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by additional notice (such as email or an in-app message).
