Packers RB Josh Jacobs pleads no contest to misdemeanor battery charge, remains on exempt list
Jacobs pled no contest Sept. 10 in Brown County court to misdemeanor battery and criminal damage to property, stemming from a May altercation with his girlfriend. He was fined $1,000 for the battery charge; the criminal-damage charge's proceedings are suspended for 12 months pending completion of court-ordered conditions (no contact with the victim, counseling, restitution). Jacobs was placed on the NFL's Commissioner's Exempt List in late August, which prevents him from playing or practicing while he continues to be paid. In court, Jacobs said: 'I fully understand seriousness of the situation and take full responsibility.'
